Vacancy – Chef/Cook 30hrs+

Mellomello are seeking a new full-time member to join their vegetarian kitchen team!

Mellomello is a registered Community Interest Company committed to facilitating grass-roots artistic endeavours and promoting the running of an ethically sound and aware business. Our full vegetarian kitchen launched in September 2011, and we are growing our kitchen team to facilitate the increasing popularity of our fresh and wholesome menu.

Duties will involve:

Cooking hot and cold foods from fresh ingredients.
Baking and decorating cakes.
Assuming responsibility for the kitchen when needed.
Inputting ideas and working on catering events and projects, on and off site.
Maintaining the hygiene and organisation of the kitchen and stockrooms.

The successful applicant will have:

Experience working in a professional kitchen.
Experience at baking and decorating cakes.
A keen interest in vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food.
A desire to help with the growth of an independent, ethical and community-minded business.
Flexibility and availability to work both a weekends and evenings (up until 10pm.)
